Continental Motors offered hope for a brighter future during their 9th Driven to Care Event, held at Continental Toyota in Hodgkins on December 9, 2019. Eight struggling families received a car courtesy of the Continental Motors Group franchises: Acura, Audi, Ferrari, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Toyota.
This year’s event brought the total number of donated cars to 72, but it’s the individual stories that touch Joel Weinberger, Dealer Principal of Continental Acura, Audi, and Mazda and AutoSports. “Whether it’s a student, a parent taking children to doctors’ appointments, or people trying to keep their jobs to support their families, everyone has a compelling story,” said Weinberger adding, “This is definitely one of the most satisfying aspects of my job.”
This year’s recipients included single parents with one or more jobs who are solely supporting their children, families who are trying to gain additional employment and education to better their lives, and individuals who have left abusive homes.
Loaves & Fishes is grateful for this opportunity to help transform lives, and for the opportunity to witness the hope and joy at the Driven to Care event.
